Peter Vorderer

Psychologist, sociologist, and expert in media studies, is presently teaching at the University of Mannheim, after having taught at Toronto University, the University of Southern California, and Amsterdam University. His main research area is the intersection between technology, communication, and psychology. He was president of the International Communication Association (2014-2015) and has been editor of several academic journals related with the psychology of media entertainment, as well as editing the books Playing Video Games (Lawrence Erlbaum, 2006) and Permanently Online, Permanently Connected (Routledge, 2018) which investigate the psychological effects of exposure to media narratives and permanent connection.
