Paul Gravett

Nicknamed 'The Man at the Crossroads', Paul Gravett is a London-based writer, critic, curator, publisher and broadcaster specialising in British and international comics. Among several definitive books, he has written Manga: Sixty Years of Japanese Comics (published in Spain by OnlyBook, 2006) and was general editor of 1001 Comics You Must Read Before You Die (published in Spain by Grijalbo, 2012). He has curated numerous exhibitions on comics including Tove Jansson, The Atom Style, Jack Kirby, Hypercomics and Posy Simmonds. He is co-publisher of Escape Books and co-director of Comica, the London International Comics Festival. He is working on a new book for Tate Publishing and a major exhibition for the British Library.
