Paola Ravenna

Paola Ravenna is manager of the Department of European Policies in the City of Venice, Italy. She is responsible for obtaining and managing external funding for projects, from European, national, and regional sources. She and her team play a key role in aligning Venice’s initiatives with those of European cohesion policy funds, particularly in the areas of sustainability, economic development, tourism, urban transformation, and social innovation. She currently oversees and manages several major EU-funded initiatives, and also supervises Venice’s projects under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Next Generation EU), which focuses on digitalisation, sustainable mobility, urban regeneration, and social inclusion. Moreover, she manages networks and European partnerships in which the City of Venice is involved, including the EU Urban Agenda's Sustainable Tourism Partnership.
