Oriol Genís

With a degree in Dramatic Art from the Institut del Teatre, Oriol Genís has a long theatrical career in which he has performed plays by Shakespeare, Calderón de la Barca, Àngel Guimerà or Santiago Rusiñol and contemporary authors such as Antonio Tarantino, Marc Rosich, Helena Tornero or Lluïsa Cunillé, among many others. Throughout his forty years of theatrical career, Oriol Genís has worked with numerous directors such as Xavier Albertí, Mario Gas, José Martret, Jordi Prat i Coll, Ester Nadal or Carlota Subirós. He has been the founder of several theater groups and collectives and has been part of the Company La Reina de la Nit of Xavier Albertí and Lluïsa Cunillé and the project T6 of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. The actor has also been awarded several theatrical prizes such as the Critics' Prize for best supporting actor for Doña Rosita la soltera by Federico García Lorca at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya in 2014.
