Ona de Gibert

Ona de Gibert is a doctoral student in Machine Translation at the University of Helsinki, where she contributes to the development of language technologies for minority languages. She is a graduate in Modern Languages and Literatures from the UB and has a master’s degree in Language Analysis and Processing from the UPV-EHU. Her experience with translation ranges from implementing translation in the corporate world to researching new methods in her current position. In her free time, she is a teacher, teaching coding to women and non-binary people in an attempt to reduce the gender gap in the digital world. She has also been an associate lecturer at two universities, the UPF and the UAB.
