Núria Gascón Bartomeu

Rubí, 1993. She graduated from ESCAC with a specialty in cinematography in 2019, directing the photography for "Animal Salvatge," a short film premiered at the D'A Film Festival, selected at Docs Barcelona, IDFA, and Fipadoc, semifinalist at the Student Academy Awards, best documentary short film at the Cerdanya Film Festival, Audience Award at the Alcances Festival, and nominated for the 2022 Gaudí Awards for best short film.

She continues her career as a director of photography, working on fiction and documentary shorts such as "Plàncton" by Irene Moray (MaterIa Cinema), "Ferides" by Alba Cros (Edna Cinema), "The Painter's Room" by Maria Colomer (Boogaloo Films), "El Jardí del Diable" by Pol Rebaque (Mayo Films), "Nens" by Anna Martí (Nocturna Films), "Extraviado" by David S Murga (Pausa Dramatica Films), "Un castell, una fada, una princesa i el gat" by Clàudia Vernis (La Malanga Films), and feature documentaries such as "Els Orrit" by Marc Solanes and Ferran Ureña (Vivir Rodando) premiered at DocsBarcelona and selected for the 2024 Gaudí Awards, "Supernatural" by Ventura Durall (Nanouk Films), "Lo que va por debajo" by Pedro G Romero (Nanouk Films), "Grup Natural" by Nina Solà (Fractal), and "Desnudando a Adán" by Felipe Rico (Creatica17 Films).

Additionally, she works on personal projects as a director, such as "Ara Crema," a documentary short selected at the Festival L'Alternativa, Scotland Catalan Film Festival, Mecal, Fifca, among others, and awarded with the Premi Fada de la Cultura 2021 and the Jury Prize for best documentary short at the VOC 2023.
