Niki Giannari

A writer who has mainly published stories and prose poems, she lives in Thessalonica and is an activist with a group which works to assist refugees. With Maria Kourkouta she directed the documentary Spectres Are Haunting Europe (Greece, 2016), which was filmed at the Idomeni refugee camp, and she has also written a poem which is included in the book Pasar, cueste lo que cueste (Shangrila, 2018) together with an essay by Georges Didi-Huberman. Taking the situation of refugees who arrive in Europe as its starting point, this book discusses such concepts statelessness, migrant and refugee.
