Nefise Özkal Lorentzen

A writer, journalist and film director of Turkish and Norwegian origins, she has produced and directed documentaries on cultural diversity and the subcultures of Islam, from her particular standpoint of having lived in both Turkey and Norway. Notable among her films are Gender Me (2008), where she reveals the unknown world of homosexuality in the Muslim world and I Have Two Countries (2005), a documentary television series for children that tells the story of the processes of adaptation of two children of a Turkish-Norwegian family after moving to Turkey.
