Montserrat Ubach

A graduate in Psychology from Barcelona Central University, Montserrat Ubach works as a journalist specialising in nature. She has scripted and directed many documentaries broadcast on Spanish TV on subjects related to nature, fauna and the primates. She is the author of more than 500 articles published in newspapers and magazines about her travels and expeditions. The founder of Darwin, the International Organisation for the Preservation of Titi Monkeys and Tamarins, she is also the director of the Adoption, Recovery and Conservation Centre, which takes in titi and tamarin monkeys that have been abandoned or confiscated. Montserrat Ubach has received many awards in recognition of her animal rights work. She is the Catalan delegate on the Great Ape Project, an expert member on Barcelona City Council's committee for animal protection and an adviser to and/or member of several animal rights and environmentalist groups.
