Mònica Pereña

President of the international organization Linguapax, she holds a degree in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona and a diploma in French Studies from the University of Toulouse le Mirail (France). Her interests include language policy, multilingualism, interculturalism and the development of resources and tools for language learning and teaching. She currently works at the Catalan Government's Higher Council for the Evaluation of the Education System, where she was also deputy director of Language and Multilingualism. She has been linked to other institutions such as ESADE-Universitat Ramon Llull and the School of Education at Stanford University in California, where she was a visiting professor in the program «The Language, Equity, and Educational Policy (LEEP)».
