Mercè Boada

A doctor in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Mercè Boada has focused her research on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer. She is co-founder of the ACE Foundation (Alzheimer Educational Centre), which is a leader in research and care for people with Alzheimer and other dementias. Her contributions to raising awareness and research in the field of neurodegenerative diseases have earned her international recognition and she has been awarded different prizes such as the Creu de Sant Jordi (2016) and the Alzheimer Prize of the Spanish Neurology Society (2021). She has also been Chair of the Catalan Neurology Society, has published over 280 scientific articles and has participated in over 100 clinical trials.
