Mayka Lahoz

Philosopher and translator

She holds a PhD in Philosophy and Letters from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with a thesis on the concepts of history, memory and interpretation in the work of Jorge Semprún. She has been a professor of Theory of Education at the same university and currently works as a translator and trainer. She has published several articles on philosophy and anthropology of education in specialized journals and has translated works by Jan Assman, Marie Balmary, Zygmunt Bauman, Émil Cioran, Lluís Duch, Milan Kundera, Joan-Carles Mèlich and René Girard, among others. She is also the author of La trama de la memoria. Una filosofía del recuerdo y del olvido (Tusquets Editories, 2022) and editor of the book Destino y memoria. Cien años de Jorge Semprún (Tusquets Editores, 2023).
