Marta Garcia Gasulla
Computer engineer and doctor of Computer Architecture. Since 2006 she has been a researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) in the Computer Science department. From 2008 to 2013 she was a lecturer at the UPC, teaching in the Faculty of Computer Science of Barcelona (FIB) and at the Higher Technical School of Telecommunication Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEB).
At present and since 2017 she has led the Best Practices for Performance and Programmability group at the BSC. This group aims to be a bridge between developers of parallel applications in different scientific disciplines and researchers in the field of computing. Her research is based around the performance analysis of parallel applications that use supercomputers such as Marenostrum5, and how to improve and make them more efficient. Alongside code analysis and optimization, the topics she has worked on most are dynamic load balancing and parallel programming models.
