Mariano Steimberg is an avant-guard drummer within the Barcelona jazz scene. For some years he has been experimenting with fusing jazz with different styles of electronic music. Together with his group IEP! Innovative Electric Project, he incorporates musical styles from all over the world, from Brazil, Argentina, India and Africa as well as many other musical influences. He has also acted as coordinator of several jam sessions, which have received acclaim over recent years.
