María Santana Fernández (Seville, 1978) holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Seville. Her thesis Del Goce a la descomposición: los cuerpos en el imaginario de la sociedad pornográfica (2020) investigates the role of violence in the age of transparency.
She has given talks and lectures on the role of work in our society, the influence of technology on everyday life and participatory democracy. Since the late nineties she has been involved and committed to the Grupo Surrealista de Madrid, publishing articles in various media such as Salamandra, Engranajes, El Naufragio or Vacaciones en Polonia.
She is currently a member of the Sevillian publishing house Óxido lento and has recently published Deseo y alteridad. El erotismo como forma de resistencia (La Linterna Sorda, 2022).
