Maria Muñoz

Maria Muñoz is a choreographer and dancer, trained in Valencia, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Her first professional experience is in 1982 with the show Era, of the Japanese company Shusaku & Dormu Dance Theater, resident in Holland. In 2005 she obtained her Dance Degree in 2005, specializing in Choreography and Performance Techniques. From the very beginning, she starts her career as a scenic creator: she collaborates with Pep Ramis in the creation of the solo Cuarto trastero and a year later they form the group Mal Pelo, where they share creation and direction. Here she develops a role as a researcher and educator of movement, while editing and stimulating the creation of texts for the stage. Currently she is also co-director of the creation center L'animal a l'esquena in Celrà, Girona.
