Marco d’Eramo

With degrees in Physics and Sociology, Marco d’Eramo has worked as a journalist in media outlets including Paese Sera and La Repubblica. He is founder of the daily Il Manifesto, which has made a considerable contribution to political thought in the Italian left, and also writes for publications like New Left Review, in which he analyses global political and economic news. Notable among his publications are the essay The World in a Selfie: An Inquiry into the Tourist Age (in Spanish, El selfie del mundo. Una investigación sobre la era del turismo, Anagrama, 2020), in which he demonstrates the importance of tourism in all levels of everyday life, and suggests that tourism is the most important industry portraying modern-day society. More recently, he has published Masters: The Invisible War of the Powerful Against Their Subjects (in Spanish, Dominio, Anagrama, 2022), a manual for resistance against the stealthy revolution of the elites.
