Philologist and journalist
He has developed his professional life in the Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia, where he works as Culture editor. He has been editor-in-chief and linguistic manager of the Catalan and Spanish editions of the newspaper. He is also a professor of Journalistic Translation at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at Pompeu Fabra University. In 2011 he was awarded the Miguel Delibes National Journalism Prize for his article El rosco de los americanismos, published in La Vanguardia. Since December 2017, he is a member of the Philological Section of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans. He has recently published Parla'm amb estil (Eumo Editorial, 2020) an essay in which he reflects on Catalan and its day-to-day use.
