Lidia Damunt

Born in Murcia (Spain) in 1978, Lidia Damunt is the perfect cross between Wanda Jackson, Shirley Collins and Janis Martin. Rabid singer-songwriter and one-woman band, she came to the fore in the Spanish underground, along with her sister Mabel, in the cult group Hello Cuca, especially active in feminist circles but with faithful followers of every creed. Now a solo artiste, she is consolidated as one of the most respected voices on the Spanish indie scene, thanks to discs like En la isla de las bufandas, En el cementerio peligroso and her latest, Vigila el fuego, released by Austrohúngaro.
