Laura Vidal

Laura Vidal (PhD in Education Science from Paris XII University) is Latin America and Spanish-speaking Community Editor for Global Voices as well as a language learning and intercultural sensitivity facilitator. She also works as a translator and editor for other organisations that defend freedom of expression and human rights, such as the Canadian organisation IFEX, and has taken part in various international meetings on the topic of citizen practices in the internet era. Much of her work and publications focus on observing learning in virtual spaces, meetings between cultures in such spaces, the ways in which technology and society interact and the defence of human rights in relation to the digital world.
