Konstantina Zerva

Konstantina Zerva, who has a PhD in Humanities from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, teaches in the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Girona where she is head of International Affairs. Her areas of research are consumer behaviour in situations of social conflict and interaction of the tourist market with local communities. She has published articles in prestigious indexed journals on dark tourism, tourism-phobia, and the impact of tourism in urban settings of Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Los Angeles. She is currently researching interculturality and quality of life among lifestyle immigrants, as well as mobility among digital nomads, from the gender perspective. She is coordinator of the SubNetwork of the Atlas of Dark Destinations and also the SubNetwork of UNIMED’s Mediterranean Tourism.
