Just Serrano

A researcher in philosophy and lecturer at the University of Barcelona, he specialises in social and political philosophy, examining the field of social movements and the possible democratic innovations they could lead to, from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. He has engaged in research in the area of political epistemology and, more specifically, the structures of power that have arisen around knowledge, the emergence of post-truth, and the social role of science and technology. He also explores the domains of pragmatism, theories of democracy, critical theory, feminism, and hermeneutics. His first monographic study, Democratization and Struggles Against Injustice (Rowman & Littlefield International, 2021) is a pragmatic approach to epistemic practices and social movements.
