Juan Villoro

Writer, translator and journalist

(Ciudad de México, 1956) A writer, translator and journalist, he has taught in the National Autonomous University of Mexico and at the universities of Yale, Boston and Pompeu Fabra. He is writer in residence at the latter this year. He has been awarded numerous prizes, among them the Herralde Prize for El testigo (2004) and the Antonin Artaud Prize for Los culpables (2007). His most recent books are Llamadas de Amsterdam (2009) and El libro salvaje (2009).
