Jordi Julià

Poet and essayist, he holds a doctorate in the Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where he has been teaching these disciplines since 1995.

In addition to publishing studies and articles specialising in literature and literary criticism, he is the author, among others, of the essays Un segle de lectura (2002) and Modernitat del món fungible (2006), and of the books of poems Els grills que no he matat (1998), with which he won the Màrius Torres Poetry Prize, Murs de contenció (2004) and Hiverns suaus (2005).

He is currently a member of two research projects: Catalan and Spanish poetry (1975-2005), and Between art, literature and politics: edition of the Castilian works of Eugeni d'Ors.
