Joan Miquel Gual

Joan Miquel Gual is a cultural producer, and member of the “Fundación de los Comunes” (http://fundaciondeloscomunes.net/) and of the OMB (Barcelona Metropolitan Observatory). His main concern at both groups is to foster reflection about the concept of the Commons and about its potential to transform democracy. Accordingly, they have organized the reading group “Treure les portes del camp. La revolució dels comuns a la ciutat neoliberal" (“Open the Gates. The Commons Revolution at the Neoliberal City”) as the first part of a long term research project dealing with the right to the city to question what kind of distribution of wealth would correspond to the current forms of production and reproduction.
