Imma Mora

CCCB’s Head of Communication

Imma Mora Boguña (Barcelona, 1966-2023) graduated with a Degree in Fine Arts and History of Art from the University of Barcelona (UB). In October 1992 she joined the exhibitions department at the CCCB, where she worked as exhibition coordinator and documentalist and where, in 2001, she began to contribute in an advisory capacity to the analysis of the Barcelona 2004 Forum exhibition programme. Between 2002 and 2004 she was Exhibitions Manager at the Forum and worked on exhibition proposals, design, production and overall operation until the end of the event. At the end of 2004 she returned to the CCCB as Head of Communication and External Resources. In 2007, through the CCCB, she took charge of the technical management of the exhibition Cultura catalana singular i universal at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Between 2014 and 2015 she designed and oversaw the first Barcelona Gallery Weekend, an initiative launched by Art Barcelona with the support of Barcelona City Council and the Catalan Government. In January 2016 she returned to the CCCB as Head of the Communication Department, which includes the Dissemination, Press and Website, Publics, Publications and External Resources units.

In 2008 she launched her own personal project in the form of a country hotel. In the area of academia, she has taught Management of Plastic Arts on the Master’s in Cultural Management at the International University of Catalonia (2002-2006) and has taught and coordinated the Communications Module on the Master’s in Art Criticism and Communication at the University of Girona (2005-2011).
