Hermína Týrlová

Filmmaker

(11 December 1900 – 3 May 1993) was a director and producer of animation films, making over 60, most of them aimed at children. She was a pioneer in the stop-motion technique and the use of puppets. Her films received awards at festivals such as Cannes, Venice and Locarno.
