Gonzalo Torné

Gonzalo Torné (Barcelona, 1976) is a writer, translator and editor. He studied Philosophy and Aesthetics at the University of Barcelona. In 2010, he published his first novel, Hilos de sangre (Random House) with which he won the Jaén Novel Prize. His other novels are Divorcio en el aire (Random House, 2013), Años felices (Anagrama, 2017) and El corazón de la fiesta (Anagrama, 2020). Some of his novels have been translated into English, French, Italian, German, Dutch and Catalan.

Apart from writing literature, he has also published the essays Tres maestros (Flash, 2012) and, lately, La cancelación y sus enemigos (Anagrama, 2022), where he reflects on the culture of cancellation. As a translator and editor, he has worked with authors such as John Ashbery, Roger Scruton and William Wordsworth, among others.
