Gerard Love
In 1989 he was one of the founder members of Scottish pop band Teenage Fanclub, from Glasgow, with whom he is still going strong after ten perfect LPs. TFC is perhaps the most melodic, sing-along-able group of the nineties, with a triumvirate of composers who seem incapable of not producing instant hits. Some of the best songs of TFC are by Gerard Love (“Radio”, “December”, “Sparky's dream”, “I need direction”, “Star sign” and many more), who has played with The Pastels, Jad Fair and Frank Black. He has also recorded solo as Gerry Love; his latest project, from 2012, is called Lightships.
