Evelyn Lambart

Animation filmmaker

Evelyn Lambart (Ottawa, Canada, 1914 - Sutton, Quebec, 1999) is one of the most important Canadian animation filmmaker of all time. She was the first woman to enter the animation section of the National Film Board of Canada. She integrated into the Norman McLaren work team, she co-directed such important works as Begone Dull Care, Lines: Vertical or Le Merle. In her solo career, the animator opted more for animation with paper cutouts and returned to the construction of more classic stories.
