With a degree in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona, he has been working in the publishing sector for eleven years as an editor for Quaderns Crema, Editorial Empúries and Muchnik Editores (Grup 62), as well as for RBA Libros and La Magrana (Grup RBA). In 2002 he founded the publishing house Ara Llibres and, in 2003, was appointed as editorial director of Grup 62. In 2006, he was named managing director of Ara in the Grup Cultura 03, and president of the Organising Commission of the Catalan Book Week (2005-2006). He has also worked with the media, for TV3 (El Club - Catalan television), El Periódico de Catalunya and the RAC 1 radio station.
Nowadays, he is the director of Ara Llibres, Executive Vice President of the Associació d'Editors en Llengua Catalana and Member of the Board of Directors of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes.
