Enrique Rodríguez Larreta
Director of the Institute of Cultural Pluralism at the Cândido Mendes University in Rio de Janeiro.
(Montevideo, Uruguay, 1950). Director of the Institute of Cultural Pluralism at the Cândido Mendes University in Rio de Janeiro, he has a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the University of Stockholm. His research interests are focused on cultural theory and the history of ideas. He is author of Gold Is Illusion: the Garimpeiros of Tapajos Valley in the Brazilian Amazon (Almqvist & Wiksell International, 2002), and (with Guillermo Giucci) Gilberto Freyre, Uma Biografia Cultural (Civilização Brasileira, 2007).
