An architect and lecturer in the Department of Urban Planning at the School of Architecture of the Vallès and also a lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, he has practised in partnership with Joan Roig since 1981. They have worked together on a number of construction, planning and landscape projects, notably including the Trinity and Pegaso parks in Barcelona, the Catalonia park in Sabadell, the Central Park of Sant Cugat del Vallès, and their task of converting the centre of the French city of Amiens into a pedestrian zone. Among the projects with which they are presently engaged are the extension of the Royal Automobile Club of Catalonia and the new Barcelona Football Club Sports City. Enric Batlle has been awarded several prizes, outstanding amongst which are the J. A. Coderch Prize for Housing Architecture in Catalonia (2005), the European Prize for Urban Public Space (2004) and the Spanish Prize for Architecture (2003).
