Eduardo Cadava
Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Princeton University.
Is a member of the department of Comparative Literature, the School of Architecture, the Center for African American Studies and the Institute for International and Regional Studies, also at Princeton University. A specialist in comparative literature and American culture, in literary and political theory and in communication technologies, he has published numerous articles and translated a large number of essays on contemporary philosophy. He has written Words of Light: Theses on the Photography of History (Princeton University Press, 1998 – published in Spanish as Trazos de luz. Tesis sobre la fotografia de la historia, Palinodia, 2006 and 2010), among other books. He is presently working on a collection of essays on the ethics and politics of mourning titled Of Mourning, and also the book Music on Bones, on the relationship between music and techniques of reproduction and memorising in writing.
