Donald Sassoon

Donald Sassoon is Professor of Comparative European History at Queen Mary University of London and has been a research fellow and Visiting Professor at the University of Innsbruck, Maison des Sciences de l'Homme (Paris), the Remarque Institute (NYU), Queensland University (Brisbane), Boston College, and Universita di Trento. His books, which have been translated in twelve languages, include Mussolini and the Rise of Fascism (HarperPress, 2008), published in Spanish as Mussolini y el ascenso del fascismo (Critica 2009); The Culture of the Europeans (HarperPress, 2006), published in Spanish as Cultura. El patrimonio común de los europeos (Crítica, 2006); and One Hundred Years of Socialism (I. B. Tauris and Co. Ltd., 2010 – revised edition), published in Spanish as Cien Años de Socialismo (Edhasa, 2001). He has lectured in more than twenty countries.
