David Hare

Playwright and theatre and film director, he is one of Britain’s most internationally performed playwrights. Sixteen of his plays have been produced at the National Theatre, including a trilogy about the Church, the Law and the Labour Party – Racing Demon (1990), Murmuring Judges (1992) and The Absence of War (1993) -. Among his best-known plays are Plenty (1978), The Secret Rapture (1988), Skylight (1995), Amy’s View (1997), The Blue Room (1998), The Judas Kiss (1998), Via Dolorosa (1998), Stuff Happens (2004), The Vertical Hour (2006), The Power of Yes (2009) and South Downs (2010).
