Daniel Sol
Daniel Sol holds a PhD in Biology and is currently a CSIC scientific researcher at the CREAF. He previously worked as a researcher at the McGill University, in Canada. His research focuses on understanding how animals respond to environmental changes induced by humans, such as biological invasions and the urban development process, combining studies on behaviour, ecology and evolution. On these issues he has published over a hundred scientific articles and he has participated in various books. In his informative popular science book Un planeta a la deriva (RBA, 2010) he discusses the causes and consequences of the current crisis of biodiversity through a dialogue between scientists and significant personalities from Catalan society.
