Cristina Goberna

Co-director and founder of Fake Industries Architectural Agonism (FKAA), an architectural firm that promotes collaborative and horizontal practices based in New York, Barcelona and Sydney. Cristina Goberna Pesudo is a professor of design at BAU Design College of Barcelona and has also taught as a visiting professor at Columbia University, as well as at UTS in Sydney and the MIT School of Architecture and Planning. With FKAA she has created numerous designs that have won international awards such as the Young Architects Forum Prize 2019 and the American Institute of Architects New Practices Prize 2014-15. Her notable work includes the design of the Medellín Velodrome; drawings from the design have been selected to form part of the permanent collection at the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Her extensive career with FKAA has led her to participate in the Chicago Biennial of Art and Architecture, the Oslo Architecture Triennale and the Spanish pavilion for the prestigious Venice Architecture Biennale.
