Carole Diop
Carole Diop qualified as an architect at the École Nationale d’Architecture Paris Val de Seine, and lives and works in Dakar. In the course of her career she has created various projects that work at the intersection between art, thought and architecture, and participate actively in the cultural life of Dakar. This is the case of the contemporary art and thought magazine Afrikadaa, the Dakar Balades Architecturales programme of walks, and the research project Dakarmorphose, which investigates the evolution of Lebu villages and the urban heritage of Dakar. She currently lectures in History of Architecture at the University School of Architecture of Dakar (CUAD) and in Cartography at the Institut Polytechnique Panafricain (IPP-DAKAR). Diop also represented Senegal at the World Forum of Young Architects in 2015. She will soon take part in the international residency program of the CCCB, thanks to a collaboration with Raw Material Company, from Senegal.
