A geographer and lecturer in the Department of Geography and Sociology at the University of Lleida and vice-dean of the Arts Faculty, she is presently engaged in a research project looking into the opportunities associated with the introduction of high-speed rail. Her previous research has been concerned with questions of social housing, intermediate cities and other fields of inquiry. She has recently co-edited Las ciudades medias o intermedias en un mundo globalizado (Medium or Intermediate Cities in a Globalised World – Publications Service, University of Lleida, 2009).
