Urban artist
Andrea Michaelsson, alias Btoy, is an urban artist from Barcelona, where she trained at the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia. In 2002, as the result of experimenting with free, improvised visual arts techniques (aerosol, plastic paint, etcetera) and using walls in the street, she began to work as an artist. Since then, she has painted murals in the streets of Barcelona and has exhibited her work in cities including Paris, London, and Jakarta, at festivals (among them The Cans Festival where she worked with Banksy), the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, and also at the Tour 13 in Paris.
