Bruce McClure

Architect, performer and experimental cinema producer.

Bruce McClure studied architecture at Virginia Tech and received a Bachelors of Architecture in1985. He then moved to New York City to increase the favors of professional life and benefit from urban manners. For 23 years he worked on residential projects in small offices. In 1994, he began building simple devices to condition moving images and sound using cinematic light. Since 2000 he has toured extensively using film projectors as an instrument in his performances. His work was included in Whitney Biennials (2002 and 2004), he received the Herb Alpert Award in Film/Video in 2008 and a Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 2011.
