Biviana Chauchi

Audiovisual artist

Biviana Chauchi (Lima, Peru, 1992). Audiovisual artist. Trained in the field of Media (UPC/Peru) and Film and Television Production Design (EICTV/Cuba). Subsequently, she studied the LAV Master (Laboratorio Audiovisual de Creación y Práctica Contemporánea/Madrid). Her work explores the material nature of images by reusing objects by means of collage, an obsession she’s passed on to the medium of film, intervening in and destroying it to create new images. At times she attempts to hear with her eyes. Her films have been shown at S8 (Mostra de Cinema Periférico), EIC (Experiments in Cinema), Cineteca de Madrid, Habitar el Cine, Lima Alterna, Xcèntric, Labor Berlin, Obskura, Corrientes and UnArchive, among others.
