Ariadna Peya

Dancer and choreographer

Formed in dance in Barcelona, she has taken courses in New York, London, Israel, Berlin and Cuba with international choreographers. She enjoys different disciplines of dance and movement that have led her to create from her own language. She has worked as a dancer in musical theater: Grease, the musical of your lifeFlashdance and Vinegar Dances.

She has choreographed music videos for Soraya (Dreamer) Clara Peya (Oceanes, Calma) and Funkystep and the Sey Sisters (Dance my baby Dance). She has been the choreographer of Plug'n'Play show of Always Drinking Productions. Co-creator of the piece Cheers along with Olga Lladó. She has collaborated as movement advisor of the shows Mares i filles, Homes Foscos (by David Pintó and Clara Peya), Nine (by Mariona Castillo), Pluja (Guillem Albà and Clara Peya project). Choreographer of the musical El despertar de la primavera-Spring awakening, the musical Maremar by Dagoll Dagom and of the short film by Estrella Damm 2018 Álex y Julia directed by Dani de la Torre.

With Les Impuxibles (the performing arts company co-founded with her sister Clara Peya), she has worked as choreographer and dancer in all the shows premiered until the moment. Their last work is Suite toc núm 6, a co-production with Sala Beckett.

She has been teaching for seventeen years, during which she has worked in different schools and workshops in Barcelona (Renata Ramos, Elite Dance, DanceEscool, Anagarycia, Eòlia, Memory, NunArt, ESART) and La Havana. Currently working as a teacher in Som-hi Dansa in the branch of professional training.

She comes to the CCCB with the show Cosa/Cos. La bellesa subvertida within the framework of the FEMINISMS! exhibition with Les Impuxibles.
