Antonio Calleja-López

Antonio Calleja-López holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Exeter, a D.E.A. in Philosophy from the University of Seville, and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Arizona State University. He is the coordinator of Tecnopolítica.net for the IN3 at the UOC and co-founder of Heuristica.barcelona. He studies the multiple connections between technology, politics and society, from the platformisation of social movements, the public sphere, political parties and the State to the sociotechnical construction and governance of data and digital infrastructures. He does so from both a descriptive and normative perspective, at the crossroads between academic research, technological development, social innovation, and political action. He has been a Fulbright scholar, he has participated in projects such as Decidim, Decode and D-cent, and he has collaborated with media outlets such as El Salto, Eldiario.es, El Periódico and La Vanguardia
