Journalist

Anna Buj has been a journalist correspondent for La Vanguardia and RAC1 in Italy and the Vatican since January 2018. From Rome, she has reported on the main Italian and Vatican current events, such as the growth of the far-right, the fight against sexual abuse in the Holy See or the death of Silvio Berlusconi. Before working in the international section of La Vanguardia, where he covered the Nice attacks, the Brexit or the funeral of Fidel Castro in Cuba. She learned her trade at the EFE agency's offices in Barcelona and New York. She is a journalist graduated from Pompeu Fabra University and has a master's degree in International Journalism from UNED. In her latest book, Laboratori d'Itàlia (Pòrtic, 2024), she portrays contemporary Italy and its society, where populism triumphs and the ultra-right governs.
