Andrea Motis & Joan Chamorro

Andrea Motis, born in Barcelona in 1995, sings with a personality that hasn’t been seen in years, as well as playing sax and trumpet. A large part of the responsibility for this is in the hands of her mentor, Joan Chamorro. The work that this veteran of Catalan jazz is doing with the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, the youngest big band in Europe, is sensational. Joan Chamorro, saxophonist (among other instruments) has worked with Tete Montoliu, Slide Hampton, Bebo Valdés, Randy Brecker, The Manhattan Transfer or Stevie Wonder.
