Alice Di Concetto

Lawyer specialised in the treatment of animals in European law and politics, founder of Animal Law Europe

Alice Di Concetto works with in the field of law and public policy at Animal Law Europe, a consultancy specialised in issues related to the treatment of animals in the European Union. She trained as a lawyer in France and the United States, specialising in animal law and ethics, a field in which she has been working for a decade. She studied Law and Political Science at the Paris Institute of Political Studies [Sciences Po] and specialised in Animal Law at the NYU School of Law and at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, where she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship, among others. Her extensive publishing history includes numerous articles in legal journals such as Revista francesa de derecho animal and Revista de derecho económico internacional. She is also a regular contributor to the journal of the French Foundation for Animal Law and is currently a professor of European Animal Law at the Sorbonne and Animal Ethics at Sciences Po, both in Paris.
