Àlex Rigola

Technical Director. He was the Director of Teatre Lliure (2003-2011). Among his important recent adaptations and directing jobs we can highlight: 2666 by Roberto Bolaño, for which he obtained several prizes, among which were the Barcelona Critics' Prize for the Best Theatre Show, Best Play and Best Set Design for 2007, The Flying DutchmanLa Nit Just Abans dels Boscos by R. Wagner, Gran Teatre del Liceu, by B-M. Koltès, Temporada Alta Arbusht, by Paco Zarzoso. Long Day's Journey into Night by Eugene O'Neill. European House (prologue of a Hamlet without words). Festival Temporada Alta, Richard the Third, by William Shakespeare, Festival de Teatro Clásico de Almagro and Teatre Lliure 2005-06 and Santa Joana dels Escorxadors for which he won the Young Directors Award at the 2004 Salsburg Festival. In 2008 he won the Premi Terenci Moix in Scenic Arts and the Qwerty Award for the best adaptation of a novel into other formats.
