Albert Sabater Coll
Chair of the Observatory for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence of Catalonia
Serra Húnter Professor of Computational Sociology at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Girona and Chair of the Observatory for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence of Catalonia (OEIAC in Catalan). He holds a PhD in Social Statistics from the University of Manchester (UK) and a Master's Degree in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Since the publication of his doctoral thesis on the treatment of population data biases, he has worked and collaborated extensively within and outside academia, including advising different national and international organizations. He is currently researcher of the international project Artificial Intelligence for Assessment (AI FORA) and member of the leading team for the "National Plan of Protection of Vulnerable Collectives in IA", funded by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Digital Transformation.
